Why the L’Oréal EverPure Volume Didn’t Blow Me Away

I tried the L’Oréal EverPure Volume duo and it was okay, but not what I was hoping for.

L’Oréal EverPure Volume Shampoo

Provides Lasting Volume From the First Use. Anti-Fade Shampoo for Fine Hair. Natural Botanicals. Paraben-free. Vegan. EverPure Volume Shampoo with lotus flower gently cleanses and revives fine, flat hair infusing luminous shine and boosting body without the weigh-down. Our formulas are especially gentle on color. There are no harsh sulfates, salts or surfactants that can strip, dull and damage hair. Experience a purely sensorial lush, luxurious lather and a fresh aromatic fragrance that blooms.

This does add volume to my hair. It’s not a shocking amount, but it’s definitely noticeable. It forms a rich lather (which is unusual for a sulfate-free shampoo), so you don’t have to use much. It has a nice smell, kinda like floral baby powder. I did find that it can dry my hair out a bit, but it doesn’t weigh my hair down or leave it greasy. I like that it’s vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and safe for color treated hair.

L’Oréal EverPure Volume Conditioner

Provides Lasting Volume From the First Use. Anti-Fade Volume Conditioner. Natural Botanicals. Paraben-free. No harsh salts. Vegan. A formula for fine, flat hair with lotus flower that provides lasting volume. Keeps color pure for up to 4 weeks.

EverPure Volume Conditioner with lotus flower perfectly conditions and revives fine, flat hair infusing luminous shine and boosting body without the weigh-down. Color-treated hair requires special care. Our formulas are especially gentle on color. There are no harsh sulfates, salts or surfactants that can strip, dull and damage hair. Experience a purely sensorial lush, luxurious lather and a fresh aromatic fragrance that blooms.

This conditions my hair without leaving it greasy or weighed down. It actually adds volume, which is nice, but it’s not a huge difference. My hair is soft and shiny after, and it makes up for some of the moisture that I lose while using the EverPure Volume Shampoo. It smells really nice, also like floral baby powder. It’s also vegan, sulfate-free, paraben-free, and safe for color treated hair, which is great.

Additional Thoughts

Overall, while this duo is nice and added some volume, I wasn’t bowled over by it. I didn’t see a huge difference, like I was hoping for. It did dry out my hair a bit, but it’s great that these are paraben-free, sulfate-free, and safe for color-treated hair. It can even help preserve your color. My hairstylist likes this line, so I was excited to try it, but I wouldn’t say it’s made a huge difference.

Have you tried this duo? What did you think?
